DESCRIPTION:
Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "World" wall clock, 15 day, time only, spring driven movement in rosewood veneer case with painted metal dial and second's bit, c1909
CONDITION:
the case retains its original finish nicely rubbed down with no veneer chips. The dial is original with original paint. The hands and pendulum are original. The movement with Graham deadbeat escapement has been recently serviced. Tran Du Ly's book "Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements" does not list this model in rosewood, but we do occasionally come across them. This is a nice example with an interesting repair label on the back.
